Arenal Volcano with Hot Springs
En route to the Arenal Volcano, there will be a stop in the famous town of Sarchí, known as the birthplace of Costa Rica’s artisans. In Sarchí, you may even see an ox cart that holds the title of the world’s largest ox cart. The cart is made of cedar wood and decorated with stunning colors, including a bright orange. The design is intricate and typical of traditional oxcarts. The ox cart stands two stories high and took 70 days to complete.
The journey will then continue, traversing diverse plantations with agricultural products, including pineapple farms, mango groves, ornamental plant nurseries, and cattle ranches, until arriving at the small town of La Fortuna. Here, you’ll stop to enjoy lunch at a cozy restaurant with a spectacular view of the Arenal Volcano.
This tour offers the awe-inspiring sight of the imposing Arenal Volcano and the soothing thermal waters of Ecotermales Hot Springs. Not to mention the lush vegetation and unforgettable views, this place is truly memorable.
Ecotermales features six pools with temperatures ranging from 37° to 41°C (99° to 106°F), a natural water pool, a waterfall, and two regular water pools, all part of an exotic natural spa. You can also enjoy the trails that wind through the middle of the forest.
For a perfect ending, a wonderful dinner will be served with a great view of the volcano before heading back, giving you one last opportunity to admire its stunning and classic silhouette. Dinner is served in their restaurant with a farm-to-table menu style. Return to San José around 7:00 p.m.
